Builder Gel Kit

Description

Our Builder Gel Kit comes with three 15ml bottles included in the kit. This is our semi sheer rubber base coat, our neutral pink bottled builder gel and our no wipe top coat.

Everything you need to start your builder journey. Our gel works with most LED and UV lamps and is suitable for use with standard gel polish colour ranges.

Now Gel – Bottled Builder Application and Information

Our self levelling bottled builder gel kit comes complete with all the products you need to create long lasting, strong natural nail overlays. Included in the kit is a semi sheer rubber base coat, you will never pick up a top coat by mistake again, our self levelling nude builder gel and a top coat.

A minimum of 48 watt lamp is recommended for use with these products, suitable for LED or UV curing professional nail lamps. 60 second cure time for each layer with a LED lamp and 120 second cure time for UV lamps.

Step by Step Application Guide

1. Sanitise – For a clean and hygienic application.

2. Nail Prep – Prep is the foundation of your treatment, missing this step will result in service break down and chipped nails. Push cuticles back and buff the nail plate lightly with a 100/180 grit buffer to remove the shine.

3. Nail Shape – Using a natural nail file shape the nails to the desired shape and length.

4. Cleanse – Dehydrate and cleans the nail plate with 100% pure acetone, making sure not to leave any lint on the nail plate. Once this is done do not touch the nail plate again.

5. Base Coat – Apply a thin even layer of the rubber base coat and cure for 60 seconds in a LED lamp or 120 seconds in a UV lamp. If a heat spike occurs remove the nails and slide the hand back into the lamp slowly while it is on. Once the hand is fully back in the lamp with no heat spike the curing time must restart.

6. First Layer – Apply a medium bead of the bottled builder to the nail. Working from side to side and away from the cuticle and cap the free edge. For longer length nails you may turn the hand over to build an apex where necessary. Cure for 60 seconds in a LED lamp or 120 seconds in a UV lamp, if heat spike occurs use same method as in Step 5 to accommodate this.

7. Perfection – Check the nails and see if they require a second layer of bottled builder to perfect the shape and structure. This step is not always required, use your trained judgement to decide if this is needed on a case by case basis.

8. Refine – Wipe over the nail with isopropyl alcohol to remove the tacky layer. Use a natural nail file to refine and shape the gel. Due to the self levelling nature of our bottled builder this step should not be need to completely reshape the nails, just to finesse the finish.

9. Top Coat – Remove any dust from the refining stage and apply a thin layer of top coat. If a colour layer is desired then apply your chosen gel colour as you would normally before proceeding to this step. Cure for 60 seconds in a LED lamp or 120 seconds in a UV lamp.

10. Finish – Ensure all nails have cured correctly and then apply cuticle oil of your choice.
